Nez Perce County
Justin Coleman
Serving the Citizens of Nez Perce County Since 2016
As a fifth generation Idahoan, I am raising my two boys with the Idaho traditions of hard work, helping your neighbor and standing up for what you believe in. I carry those lessons into my work as a prosecutor. Prior to being a prosecutor, I worked for a local law firm where my practice included property law, employment law and constitutional law issues.
I am a graduate of Penn State Law School where I was a published senior editor of the Penn State International Law Review. I am also very proud to call Lewis-Clark State College my alma-mater, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in history/political science and had the privilege of serving as Student Body President in 2003.
When I am not in the office or in the courtroom I spend my time with my boys doing various fun activities including reading, fishing, playing chess and going to the family ranch. There is nothing I love more than watching them grow and learn.
I am currently serving on the IPAA Board of Directors representing prosecutors’ interests in the 2nd Judicial District. I have also served on various other boards and community oriented groups, including the Lewis-Clark State College Foundation, the Lewiston Roundup Board, Lewiston Library Foundation and the Early Childhood Coordinating Council of Idaho.
I became a Prosecutor because it combines my passion for public service, my interest in the law, and my drive to make my community a better place. As a father of two young boys, there is nothing I do in my life without them on my mind. Whether it’s fighting drug crimes, volunteering to help get a school bond levy passed or seeking justice in every case I prosecute: I’m always thinking about my kids. I want to make my community the very best for not only my boys to grow up in but for all families to thrive. I believe being a Prosecutor provides the greatest opportunity to make my community a place everyone can be proud to call home.
