A Kootenai County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney handles prosecution of either felony, misdemeanor or juvenile cases, from charging through trial and sentencing. Our office is highly respected in the community for our aggressive approach to crime, backed by strong law enforcement support that has not been rendered ineffective by legislation. New misdemeanor attorneys are paired with felony mentors for their first year, co-chairing preliminary hearings and felony trials. As their competence grows, they can handle cases independently. Felony mentors also support misdemeanor trials until proficiency is achieved.

OUR LOCATION:  Our office is located Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, just blocks from the stunning Lake Coeur d’Alene, known for its beauty and summer warmth. Qualifications:

DO YOU QUALIFY?

  • Do you have a Juris-doctorate degree from an accredited law school and a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of one year related experience and/or training?
  • Have you successfully passed the Idaho State Bar examination or otherwise been admitted to practice law in Idaho?
  • Do you have or have the ability to obtain a valid driver’s license and are you insurable?
