Announcement:

The Adams County Prosecuting Attorney’s office has an opening for the position of Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in our Othello office. The position entails representing the County in criminal matters in District Court and may include appearing in Superior Court for juvenile criminal matters or child support cases. Deputies are expected to take part in occasional ex-officio coroner duties as needed.

Adams County is centrally located in Eastern Washington with historic Ritzville being the County seat and Othello being the County’s growing population center. Othello is a short commute to Moses Lake and the Tri-Cities. Recreational opportunities abound, to include boating, fishing, and hunting. The Adams County Prosecutor’s Office offers manageable caseloads, greater prosecutorial autonomy, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Member in good standing of the Washington State Bar Association
  • Have a valid Washington State Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one prior to start date
  • Oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Prior prosecution experience not required
