The Adams County Prosecuting Attorney’s office is seeking applicants for a Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney. Persons in this position are responsible for representing the county/state in all major criminal prosecutions. Persons also represent county agencies. Persons are expected to take part in occasional ex-officio coroner duties as needed. Persons also perform the administrative / supervisory duties of the office in the absence of the Prosecuting Attorney.

Adams County is centrally located in Eastern Washington with historic Ritzville being the County seat and Othello being the County’s growing population center. A Spokane Transit Authority vanpool is available for commuting between Spokane and Ritzville.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be a member in good standing of the Washington State Bar Association. Must have four (4) years prior experience as a deputy prosecutor and two (2) years prior experience with felony prosecutions and appellate practice. Must have a valid Washington State Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one prior to start date. Oral and written communication skills are essential.
