Serving the Citizens of Owyhee County Since 2019
I am an Idaho Native, born in Pocatello before eventually settling in Boise during elementary school. I am a proud graduate of Borah High School and Idaho State University, where I triple majored in Political Science, Philosophy, and Mass Communication. Before attending law school, I worked for a number of large businesses, including CenturyLink, Verizon, and Hasbro. I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School (#GoGophers) where I received a variety of academic honors. While in law school, I began my prosecutorial career, working with prosecutors in my town and other local cities. I clerked for two Judges during my time in Minnesota before returning home to Idaho. I spent two years teaching at Idaho State University, and I have served as a prosecutor on the Fort Hall Reservation and Canyon County before assuming office here in Owyhee County. When I’m not in Court or the office, I spend my time with my wife and kids, playing games and building Legos, toys, trains, cars and just about anything else that needs building. I am an avid fan of the Boise Hawks and Idaho Steelheads, as well as any team one of my kids is a member of.
I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Idaho State University Alumni Association. I am also the treasurer for the Third District Bar Association. I serve on the Ethics Committee for the Shoshone-Bannock Tribal Bar Association. I attend school and community events, including Hawks and Steelheads games, because I believe it’s important to interact with the community that I serve.
I became a Prosecutor to do what is right. Prosecutors have the unique ability to follow their conscience in the practice of law, rather than the mandates of their client. A Prosecutor is concerned only with seeking Justice, and I wanted to practice law with the freedom to make the world a little better place for my kids and (future) grandkids.
As a Prosecutor, I strive to seek justice for victims, rehabilitation for the ill, and a safer, better community for everyone.
