Franklin County

Serving the Citizens of Franklin County Since 2012

I am a career prosecutor who began my prosecutorial career in 2003 in Bannock County until the voters of Franklin County elected me as their Prosecuting Attorney in 2012. I am devoted to protecting children and families and providing justice to the voiceless and most vulnerable. My mission is to seek justice for all through firm, fair and consistent prosecutions with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

My top priorities are to hold criminals accountable for the crimes they commit, to ensure the rights of crime victims are honored and respected throughout the criminal justice process, to fulfill the constitutional and statutory mandates of the office, to strengthen law enforcement relations in the community, and to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Franklin County.

On a personal note, my life outside of the office revolves around my wife and children. We enjoy various activities together that primarily rotate around each different sport season. Between Spring/Summer baseball and golf, Fall football, Winter basketball, and year round dance and piano competitions and recitals my wife and I are busy with our children and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

I am currently serving on the IPAA Board of Directors representing prosecutors’ interests in the 6th Judicial District. I am also active in the lives of the youth in our community. I serve as the Director in Preston for youth football, coach football at the high school level, coach a traveling competitive baseball team, and participate on other boards and community related groups.

I am a true believer in justice and making our community a better place to live. While there are many honorable jobs with those same ideals, I find none in the legal field that better serve and meet those needs for me. I’ve always wanted to make a difference in the world, even if just for a single person. For me, being a prosecutor is also a way I can help society uphold its laws while at the same time work in a setting where I feel most comfortable – the courtroom. Long story short, I became a prosecutor so I can make a difference in the community and make it a better place to live and call home.
