I was born and raised in Boise. I was fortunate to have strong supportive parents who introduced my brother and I to the many wonderful places Idaho has to offer. I spent a decade of summers learning the value of hard work as a laborer for a family-owned asphalt paving company. I attended college at the University of Colorado and graduated law school from the University of Idaho in 2005. I then moved to Hailey and clerked for Blaine County District Judge Robert Elgee for two years before being hired as the felony deputy prosecuting attorney. Having spent the last fifteen years in Blaine County, I continue to enjoy exploring the surrounding mountains and rivers.

I have worked in our local schools over the last ten years meeting with students and discussing legal issues. I have served on the Blaine County Drug Court since its inception. I have also participated in numerous training and speaking engagements regarding prosecution topics.

I appreciate the opportunity to serve Blaine County in a way that protects the safety of its citizens and quality of life. There are very few jobs where your goal is always “do the right thing.” The pursuit of this goal requires, with each new case, a fresh balance of interests of the victims, witnesses, defendants, and the citizens of Blaine County.

It is extremely satisfying to be in a position where I can have a positive impact in people’s lives. Whether helping victims through the unfamiliar system to find hope and ultimately justice, or seeking resources for those suffering from mental illness and/or substance abuse, the pursuit to “do the right thing” should govern the outcome of criminal cases.

While the pressure of being a prosecutor is demanding, I enjoy the intensity that comes with trying cases in a small community. Further, I respect the significance of this position in today’s complicated environment. Finally, this community is extremely important to me. I am honored to serve in the role of a prosecutor to help keep Blaine County such a special place.
