TSRP Trainings

The Idaho Prosecuting Attorneys Association (IPAA) is excited to offer various training opportunities through their Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor (TSRP) to prosecutors’ offices, law enforcement agencies and community organizations. Traffic crime trainings can be adapted to meet the needs of the audience. Programs range from week-long trial advocacy to one-day substantive seminars or brief 20-minute presentations.

IPAA-TSRP Crash In-Service Training

Register Today!

The Idaho Prosecuting Attorneys Association in partnership with the Idaho State Police Crash Reconstruction Program is offering a "Crash Investigation In-Service Training" for prosecutors and crash reconstructionists.

This 16-hour course of study is designed for advanced technical crash investigator, a collistion reconstructionsist, or a traffic homicide prosecutor who wants to learn more about or update their understanding of Newtonian physics, the understganding detal-V vectors, how to apply passenger vehicle event data to a crash investigation, critical speed yaw, spin analysis, rotational mechanics and trailer stability.

This class will help the investigator and/or prosecutor be more succesful in introducing crash evidence in court. The class is funded the the IPAA-TRSP Program and is free of charge to law enforcement and IPAA member prosecutors. Non-IPAA member prosecutors may be eligible for a tuition scholarship. The lead instrucotr is John Daily, retired sheriff deputy from Jackson Wyoming with over 25 years of experience. Mr. Daily holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and is an adjunct instructor for the Institute of Police Technology and Management (IPTM) since 1982. He has authored three versions of hte IPTM textbook titled "Fundamentals of Traffic Collision Reconstruction."

ACTAR Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be available. An application for Continuing Legal Education (CLEs) credits has been made to the Idaho State Bar and will be issued pending approval.

The Idaho Prosecuting Attorneys Association will be holding their 2017 Summer Conference from Wednesday, August 9th through Friday, August 11th at The Riverside Hotel, 2900 W. Chinden Blvd, Boise, Idaho. We have an agenda for champions planned for you!
